Communications Matter
There are two parts to communicating- one talking and one listening.
More and more I am finding that listening is an art that needs to be practiced. The listening process has five steps:
Receiving
Understanding
Remembering
Evaluating
and Responding.
At each stage there is an opportnuity to "miss" part of the communication and part of the meaning! Do you ever find that you're in a meeting, thinking that you got the assignment or plan only to realize that by the time you get back to your desk, pieces of the information are lost? This has happened to me alot recently. Do you have any suggestions on how to be a better listener? Stay tuned to our next post for some great ideas.
